Job Description:

The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) is seeking qualified candidates in the Tallahassee, FL area for the position of Human Resources Manager. The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for providing operational support and managing all day to day human resources functions for home office and remote/telecommuting staff. Primary duties include recruitment and selection; payroll processing; benefits administration; performance evaluations; job descriptions; staff development; development, implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures; employee relations; attendance and leave; employee record maintenance; compliance with all state and federal laws; and maintenance/utilization of the Human Resource Information System (Paylocity).

Experience and Skills:

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience working independently, and proactively addressing Human Resource needs for small to mid-size organizations. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; and HRIS experience. Experience working with G-Suite a Plus. Position requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field and five years of progressively responsible human resources generalist experience. Additional experience in human resources may be substituted for educational requirements on a year by year basis. Preference will be given to candidates with PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification.
